Just-in-Time Warehousing: Keeping Panel Components Off Your Floor Until You Need Them

Every pallet of finished components sitting in your warehouse is square footage and cash you can't use for something else. For operations that consume the same cut-to-size panel components repeatedly — internal cabinet parts, crating components, reel and flange assemblies — a just-in-time arrangement with your fabricator can take that inventory off your floor without changing your production schedule.
How the arrangement works
Instead of ordering a full production run and receiving it all at once, you place a standing purchase order for a set volume over a defined period. We cut, machine and hold the components here, then release them to you on a schedule that matches your actual consumption — weekly, biweekly, or however your line runs. You get warehousing without owning the warehouse space, and we can smooth our own production scheduling around a known, recurring order instead of a single large batch.
Where it makes the most sense
This works best for components with a predictable, recurring demand — the same part, ordered on a consistent cadence, rather than a one-time custom run. If your consumption is steady enough to forecast, the inventory carrying cost you'd otherwise absorb shifts to a supplier relationship instead, and you free up the floor space that inventory used to occupy for something that actually needs it.
Good candidates for a JIT arrangement
- Recurring internal cabinet or furniture components ordered on a steady cadence
- Crating, pallet or end board components tied to a consistent shipping volume
- Reel, flange or divider components for printing and packaging operations
- Any part where the bottleneck is warehouse space, not production capacity
If your operation is carrying more finished component inventory than it needs to, it's worth a conversation about whether a standing purchase order and just-in-time release would free up that space without adding risk to your schedule.
