Sizing a POP Display Base for a Multi-Store Rollout
A regional retail display program needed a stable wooden base under a corrugated POP display, machined consistently enough to ship to dozens of store locations without a wobble complaint.
The Challenge
The display's corrugated shell was light enough to ship flat, but it needed a rigid base that would keep the whole unit stable on a retail floor — and the base had to hold the same footprint and screw-hole pattern across every unit, since a mismatched base would stall assembly at store level.
Our Approach
We cut the base from MDF on our panel sizing equipment, then used the CNC router to hold the mounting pattern and edge profile to a tight, repeatable tolerance across the full run. Because the program's rollout was staged over several weeks rather than a single delivery, we held finished stock here and released it against the program's shipping schedule.
The Result
Every base in the run matched the same footprint and hole pattern, so store-level assembly didn't require field adjustment — and staged release meant the retailer wasn't carrying finished inventory ahead of when each store needed it.
