Moving Recurring Cabinet Components to a Just-in-Time Release Schedule

A cabinet shop ordering the same internal components repeatedly was carrying more finished-component inventory than its floor space could comfortably hold.

The Challenge

The shop needed a steady, predictable supply of cut-to-size internal cabinet components but didn't have the warehouse space to receive and store a full production run at once — inventory was piling up faster than the line could consume it.

Our Approach

We set up a standing purchase order covering the shop's forecasted volume, cut and machined the components to their existing specification, and held finished stock here rather than shipping it all at once — releasing it on a schedule matched to the shop's actual production cadence.

The Result

The shop's floor space returned to normal levels within weeks, and the recurring order let both sides plan production and delivery around a known, steady cadence instead of large, irregular batches.
